VG5 6U PowerPC VME单板计算机具有在单槽内高度集成了灵活的DDR SDRAM和flash配置及多种集成在板的外设口，提供了嵌入式应用的高性能计算。2个Gigabit和2个10/100Mbit以太网端口，4个高速度多协议串行控制器（双同步，HDLC协议），1个串行ATA端口，2个PMC扩展插槽，UARTS，定时器/计数器以及通用IO。该产品可选配但CPU或双CPU。板上的各处理器均有自己的DDR-SDRAM模块和外设芯片组（非对称多处理）。VG5提供导冷版本。VG5有一个FPGA，该PFGA中有一用户定义区，以支持用户自己定义特定的I/O功能。VG5板的CPU支持AltiVec技术。
